Dude, mine aint too far from this, hence the reason why i started the thread after a sh!t shift...

my boss is great, often leaves me in charge of the place(medium sized factory) when he needs to duck out ( i sware he goes to the pub though.. LOL)
latley he's had me doing some of the paperwork side of things... its almost as though he's secretly trying to train me up to become manager of the place...

only thing thats a bit crap is the pay, but my boss is just the manager of the geelong branch of the company so i dont think he has much control over what pay we get

I reckon I'd be close to having the best boss....

Firstly.... I started working there fulltime, but then during my first year decided I wanted to go back to school to do mechanical engineering, and he obliged. And now my hours are completely negotiable depending on my class times, and if one is cancelled I can just turn up and work.

Secondly.... Everyday he buys lunch, except for mondays and wednesdays where we have traditional italian meals that his mother cooks... she's 83 and apparently you cant stop her from cooking, so all you can do is accept and enjoy.

Then there's the 6 monthly pay increases, for a maximum of 6..... At 50c a piece its quite nice, but not really important as I just love being there.

In my last job my boss was the biggest arshole I had meet, but now in my new job it is the exact oposite, he is great, as long as the work is done you can sit down and search AFF or read or talk to fellow employe's, and even leave early if you wan't to, couldn't ask for much more really.

I have a lot of respect for my boss. Gave me a job at 16 and i'm still there 8 years later. I don't see any one higher up the chain for more than half hour though cos i supervise A/Shift. Would like to think I'm a great supervisor, everyone always loves afternoon shift. trying to be a bit more of an ******* this year though.

Boss drives a Gen 3 V8 statesmen.
He was telling me at christmas he really wants to get a full exhaust kit done to make it sound like a V8 but said "i just dont fit the image, i'd feel weird walking into a place at my age and asking them to make it sound like a v8" He's only like 55 or so.

He had a Ford when i started
Red EF Olympic classic
Then bought a New black Merc (some sporty kind)
Then on to a lexus
Now the Statesmen.
Should try to convince him back to Fords.

damn i wish i could change mine now hahahahaha

my new boss or i should say PR manager, is a top bloke, aigth so he's a year younger than me but hey we get along, hes easy on ya if ya get the work done buit he will work ya a$$ if ya start slacking off.

hes always there motivating ya to do your best, helps you out with anything....if you can show that you can help yourself, and he can actually take a joke, plus he knows what hes talking about

my last boss was aight, just a hell tight a$$ lol we would go out to lunch and hed always pay for it and usually take about 2 and a half hours instead of teh 30 min lunch :hihi: always go out drinking on the weekend and stuff like that. but he was more like a friend than a boss so i got it easy hehehehehehe

Current manager is a bit of a stresser, not that up to date on what happens with the job but at least approachable. I lose respect when I know more in my job than my boss. I don't think it should be that way but these days its all about managing rather than knowing your job.

I voted very bad! My boss is a liar, a cheat, lazy, has no people skills, non-communitive, a bully, and a clueless wonder who got a $35,000 payrise due to his boss who is worse than him. All hail the hospital system!!!

i ticked bad boss . reason being is because i have been with the same employer for 15 years . every boss i have is sacked after 2 to 5 years . then i have to prove myself again to the next . everytime i dissagree withthem i tell them . when your gone after you've done your brilliant work . i'll still be here .

it's amasing though each time there is a new boss coming the company always puts a notice up aboout how the new boss will improve the company .

my company should be smarter than NASA bynow . each one f---cks the place up that little bit more than gets fired . leaving less productivity for the next .

Ive only had good Boss's really, one was a little hard to pick as to whether he was joking or serious which was frustrating, but on him good days he was a nice bloke.

Ive had a few dodgey co-workers though...

Yeah he's alright, knows the industry, he's made the branch more efficient, pretty fair on everyone, follows through with promises blah blah blah. But likes Holdens. He'd have to be the only non bogan Holden lover I know :

Couldn't have put it better myself mate, and because of the increased involvement in the business you obtain extra skills and get a feel for the way it all works which will help to no end later on in life.

Considering I've had nearly ...
oh crap... I cant even remember how many I've had at this current job....

I've been there 5+ years now

they come and go so often I gave up listening to any of them or even caring who they were about 3 years ago

Recoil and I work at the same place...

Maybe I need to change jobs...
go back to working for myself i think

I voted "Really Bad"

I tend to bypass my Boss and deal with the head honcho...He's a great bloke, put me into my FIRST Ford. He's a self confessed V8 Ford Nut.

My boss is not a bad bloke... Although he wouldn't know if he had a tram up his clacker unless the bell was ringing... He drives one of those 'SMART' cars... : How Ironic !
