Default Rear bumper & custom exhausts

Has anyone looked at cutting into the rear bumper to allow for any aftermarket exhausts? I'm at crossroads as to what to do. I see my options as:

(a) Leave as is and have the tips hanging underneath
(b) Cutting into the rear bumper to allow for any tips
(c) or getting a whole new rear bar from a bodykit that has such allowances

I'm not a big fan of the standard bumper with tips underneath and I don't particularly want a fiberglass rear bar that wont necessarily match the rest of the car.

Any thoughts would be great,

Cheers!
