I didn't vote, because to me there is much more to a high performance car then a power to weight ratio, it's just one thing of many, but doesn't realy tell you much about how it drives, for example an engine might make 250kw and be in a sub 900kg car, however if that engine doesn't make usable power under 5000rpm, it's power to weight would be good, but it wouldn't be one that would be any good to drive anywhere other then a race track...

I reckon anything with more than about 150KW/Tonne OR quicker than 14 down the quarter is getting up amongst the high performance cars.
Basically that would be T3 and BA GT/GTP so far. This is for TODAYS standards only.

114Kw from my ultra sik VL N/A bro. lol
Actually I dont know what I would consider "High Performance" as I have never driven a car more powerful then my VL. But for a rough guess I would say 180Kw+Per ton. |

I voted 210kw + ton. I know I will get blasted for this, But I will say anyway. The BA XR8 come in at 137kw+ ton and the GT come in at 153+ ton. Now they are suppose to be performance cars. In my opinion the XR8 is not and the GT just makes it as a performance car, But it is certainly not high performance car. To me what make a HI PO car is it ability to accelerate, brake and handle. which the GT/GTP is good at all three but it is not mind blowing on the acceleration and the Handling package needs alot of work... In regards to the XR8, It has poor throttle response down low, the suspension is soft and the brakes, well there the same as the XT. Utter crap. I guess that is why I have modded my car so much to a point that I am now happy with the brakes and suspension. But not so happy with the motor, but that will be sorted very soon.

Hmmm...a high power to weight ratio certainly = FUN, but would only be one of the criterea necessary for what I consider High Performance.
A Shelby Cobra Daytona coupe would be about there IMO...whats the power to weight of that?

I consider high performance to be a perfect match between cornering, braking and acceleration. My workmates Ferrari 360 Spider definately fits this, I'd also considering a WRX to fit this. Same with an S2000, Lotus Elise, Monaro, Skyline (GTR..obviuosly), RZ TT Supra and Pulsar GTI-R's.

380hp (284kW) and 2300lbs (1045kg). That's 271.77kW/tonne.

See i view F6's/GT's/GTS's which cut mid 13's as Performance vehicles, however they are not high performance. This tag is reserved for vehicles like Saleen S7, Merc SLR etc etc

I voted 210+, but after more of a think, would now change that to 190+.
130/150+ = Performance 190+ = High Performance 230+ = Supercar
