When you have weeks to spare Google Navara problems. And at the large Nissan/VW stealership I was employed at 40% of daily service bookings were warranty work, truly not funny for the owners.

Considering Hilux has been a huge seller and number one ute in Australia for many many years, and your seeing more Rangers than Hilux, that is surprising.......

Read somewhere that they fitted a smaller to the Ranger, wonder how that will work out in the long run.

When highly modified the Ranger has got to be the best looking ute on the road. Amarok front end looks the best stock imo. |

Sales wars aren't the deciding factor when judging the best truck.
The Ranger also hasn't won world ute of the year more then once for nothing. |

You can google any of the major brands and find lists of problems with their cars. Hilux ,Ranger ,Triton all have their common issues. Mine is 550 and didn't need any warranty work in 90k . I did replace a side mirror due to my reversing mistake and it was not the cheapest. My local dealer is not too bad . I am not brand loyalist and buy whatever I like ,can afford and it suits my purpose. |

I quite like the look of the new Navara. Not everyone can afford the Hilux or Ranger either........

Would that be the same Aisin brand auto that VW used in their T5's (pre dsg) etc....that are so bullet proof the target board is stronger, lol...as the owner of VW's for 21 years and on my third transmission in a 2007 T5, I'd back that brand of auto anytime.....NOT.

We have 2 Rangers & imo it's hard to believe it took so long to out sell them really! There a great ute & in a totally different class to Hilux as it does just about everything so much better.
Interesting to see how the new Hilux stacks up against PX2 but with the new Hilux still lacking in power, I still reckon it will be a step behind!

We have 5 d-max's at our mine site. It's a small mine and they don't get treated that bad.
Oil needs topping up fortnightly, as does brake fluid. i think the highest km one has 25000 on the clock.Drivers seat belt has been replaced 3 times as it randomly un-clips. They stall if you are in high 4 up a hill and you lose traction when the traction control cuts in. Yes you could use low 4 but the hiluxe's climbed the same hills fine. 2wd on any sort of gravel slopes is damn annoying with the traction control. You need to pull half the dash out to change the air con air filter, but at least it has a filter. In saying that it they are a bit higher than the hiluxe's we had, and a little more bottom end power, either that or they are geared a bit lower.
