Has anybody here heard of the band Audio Adrenaline?
Go check out their album Underdog, its a pretty nice album for a christian band that came out of nowhere. (i think)

I went to an Evermore concert and suspected them from their lyrics as a potential Christian band, then when I saw the keyboard player wearing a "Jesus Loves you" shirt I thought they must be. IF not, still LOVE their music.

Partial to Creed many years ago, Paul Colman Trio's "Killing Tree" has to be my all time favourite, but Switchfoot lives in my car's glovebox for regular airtime

Almost as good as "I Know Everything there is to Know" by Self Righteous and the Seculars and my favourite, "Don't Preach to Me" by the Insecurists.

I do like Switchfoots music, on the original topic. Here's one for the people who remember one of the earlier Christian rock bands, if rock is the right genre: Jesus Freak by DC Talk!

Timmeh! I'm impressed! Jesus Freak was really the first famous christian rock song. Unfortunately that doesn't make it good. Its' kinda chessey lol. I went to a Christian Highschool where a lot of the students weren't allowed to listen to music that wasn't Christian (yes I know how stupid that is) so I was practically drowned in Christian music in the late 90s.

Bands like Delerious and Alabaster Box are awesome. The Paul Coleman Trio was big and SoulFrame were just the nicest people ever. I looked after all the merchandise at a couple of Christian music festivals and Soulframe were always willing to sign autographs and to give us a hand selling stuff while they were around.

Anyway, excuse my trip down memory lane. And the fact that I missed a big chunk of secular music during this time so I dunno all the songs everybody else my age does lol.

You might try listening to The Voice Within by Free Thinker or perhaps youd be satisfied with Dominate My thought by Mentle Crutch or My Gods Better Than Your God by The Chosen Few.

Demon Hunter, Norma Jean and Underoath are all pretty heavy...

But they still don't sound like Sepultura did in the 93 tour, or like Fear factory at the BDO....
Or Cryptopsy...

Anyway...

I'm not quite sure how to take that. You can't be christian and only go to church once a year? I am christian, I've studied to be a pastor and right now I don't go to church at all. Be careful not to judge someone's heart by their actions because you might not always get it right.

No one's mentioned Stryper?!?!

There is very little actual 'satanic' metal - Deicide would be near enough though. Plenty of it is anti-christian, but being anti-christian doesn't mean you're satanic.

nope im not a christian, but i do believe there is something a whole lot bigger than us controlling the universe... but that could either be God in some form, aliens in an ant farm type scenario or we could just be infinitesmally small, the earth being an electron orbiting the sun (nucleus) as an atom in some superbeing etc...

but one thing i do believe in is Darwins theories, you cannot substitute science fact with an unfounded unproven belief

I have a difference of opinion on this one but it would just start a totally different discussion. I'm a Christian, I don't force my beliefs on anyone else, if you have a problem with it I'll have my people talk to your people!

Its cool. I know you didn't mean to offend. Just wanted to warn you about who you say is not a christian because if somebody thinks they are then who are you to say they're not, even if they do only go to easter services? I studied at both the Toowoomba College of Christian Studies and the Australian College of Ministries. ACOM is awesome btw.

Has anybody here heard the new switchfoot single out?
Its not on their beautiful letdown album so if you havent heard it go download it its called "stars".

I saw the music video on the pepsi charts this morning it was pretty cool.
Most of it was filmed underwater.
