Blue car looks a bit like the impala with Altima esque rear lights

That tail light design has been done to death by just about every car maker. I wish designers would change the record FFS!

As far as I'm aware, staff from Ford's major design hubs around the globe submitted proposals for the new Mustang - Ford Australia included. However, I don't know how much of an Aussie influence - if any, made it into the final product.

I totally agree - it's generic, boring and downright lazy. Unfortunately consumer feedback clinics don't help making this trend vanish either.

All the Ford design studios collaborate, and give proposals and feedback to each others projects. But the americans are so determined to make Mustang appear all American they will not ever say it was designed by, or had input by anyone who isn't an American.

Would it even be a viable business for most current Holden dealers? In all the commodore talk, I've seen no mention of Cruze . Would loss of commodore and fall in cruze sales kill a Holden only dealer?

The reason is simple: there is a vast number of people (I've spoken to quite a few) who seem to think that Holden is "closing" in Australia. They're not...they're just stopping building one unpopular model in the range. They're not "going out of business", but that's what a lot of people have thought is happening. Therefore, the need for this advert.

Some people thought Ford was "closing up shop" here when they said they were stopping Falcon production. Not so either.

there are no holden only dealers around locally.

currently only a few brands want the stand alone separate workshop,,and have to say you probly want to avoid them. Its one thing to say you are a specialist but lately these look like model rejects.

the holden dealer I did my training at died big time in the 90's, killed off by their masters for a big plan never achieved. the brand never recovered.

My boss purchased his great wall and took it to the 90 bay workshop for its first service as his wife got her mazda looked at,,he browsed around the 200 used cars and had complimentary morning tea.

That's an interesting thing you mention...how many "single brand only" dealers actually exist anymore? After reading what you wrote, I started thinking hard (yes, it hurt), and I couldn't remember seeing one anywhere in my travels. Anyone know of one?
