If you want the MT package I'm pretty sure you can order it and get anyone to fit it. Just warranty won't exist.
I'm tempted to order the MT intake for mine, but dunno what happens if it ever becomes available in OZ do I get another intake

I'm waiting for to hear back from Mountune. That said if it's not going to be warranted I'd rather wait for more tunes to come out. Revo is about to release a cracker of a tune soon. Sent from my HTC_PN071 using Tapatalk 2 |

Tell you what. Trying to find a place to install a set of springs in Sydney is proving to be an ordeal. Have called four places, all giving way different quotes, yet all of them saying "we can't give you an exact quote...we've never done a Fiesta ST before".
So far: Pedders Blacktown: $450 incl. alignment Jax Artarmon: $500 incl. alignment Jax Pymble: $550 incl. alignment (despite me telling them the Jax in Artarmon would do it for $500) Castle Hill Performance: $200-300 not incl. alignment. As it stands, I'm going with Castle Hill |

They're pretty far out for me. Since hardly anyone will do installs on Saturdays, I have to get it done during the week, and get to work still. Has to be around my area, which is Bella Vista (home), or Macquarie Park (work).

Ah, the work side of things makes it harder. Was going to say if you're bella vista you're just next to the M7 so no excuse NOT to go to Penrith But then getting to Mac park would be a bit annoying.

Do any of these mods void the warranty?

[QUOTE=ConST;4878987]Couple changes...
1. Lowered on H&R's (35mm drop) 2. Stubby antenna from Cravenspeed Great looking car ConST Cant wait for mine. Just wondering where you get the aerial from? I googled the name but came up with an American site but their picture looks like rubber material? Pretty keen to change the go-kart looking one for that neat stubby. Cheers |

As always with mods, there's the potential for them to void portions of the warranty. For example, if my shocks were to go tomorrow, Ford would probably argue the aftermarket springs aren't dampened correctly, thereby nulling my warranty. Of course I could always throw the stock springs back on if I had to go in for warranty work.
That said, if my fuel pump died, it could hardly be linked to me changing the springs or putting in a short shift kit. With mods, you have to be willing to take the risk involved. If you don't want to take the risk, don't mod! |

Does the stubby have any negative effect on the reception?
I would love to get one, but being in the country I fear loss of reception. |

It doesn't for me. Works just as well as the original did. A bit worse in tunnels, but not an issue for me.
I live in the city-ish though. |

What about in regards to after market exhaust pipes and warranties? How far back can you? Cat-back and it shouldn't be any problem?

Changing the cat itself without a retune can mess with the turbo though... So don't change that without a supporting tune.

No, no sat nav for us.
Haven't had a chance to fully test it out yet, but it's pretty good still when it comes to firmness. I mean, don't expect an air pillow ride haha. It's firm for sure, but not overly. Then again, I've owned some cars that have had suspensions harder than rock, so I'm used to it. But all in all, it's still something you can live with....kind of haha. The FiST is a pretty firm ride to begin with. |

Re SatNav.
Could the unit be imported and then installed? Like all modern cars the wiring is pretty much the same no matter the range specification. If the wiring is there it shouldn't be to hard, as long as you can get compatible Aus maps. |

Ugh. Honestly I wouldn't bother. The Fiesta and the Focus have a pretty oddly shapes dash, especially when it comes to the head unit. I guess you could theoretically. It should be the same unit as in the Focus. But for what it would probably cost I'm more than happy using my phone and a good dash mount

Also, as much as a built-in satnav is less obtrusive and looks nicer, most of the ones I've seen are (funactionally) nowhere near as good as a phone/standalone one. if there was a way to project a phone satnav onto the dash screen, now that would be good. (assuming your phone GPS is strong enough to work without having to be exposed)

Exactly. I had one in my last car. A VW. It was slow.
Even better was VW wanting $750 to upgrade my map to the latest release. I downloaded the iso file myself and did it. Sent from my HTC_PN071 using Tapatalk 2 |
