It will be fun anyway, I will be on my almost racing slicks street tyres, so I don't expect any record breaking.

Geroge, when you say meet at the kiosk, do you mean the Coffee Stand?

Sorry Doug, should of said the canteen. The one just outside on the left as you walk out of the tunnel where the spectator stands are. The coffee stand is near the entrance where all the cars that race are usually parked isnt it, on the other side?

Guys just an idea, maybe we should meet up somewhere in the city and than drive together to calder, sort of like a mini-cruise? Where does everyone live? I'm in Carnegie.

Cheers

Hey guys, well i didn't evan know there was a b-series section here, saw doug run last night at calder got a few runs down. not sure exacly what he ran. but well done anyway. 14.87 sits in my mind but im sure im wrong.

In reagrds to these meet and greets, i would be happy to organise a short sprint, cruise through some to the twisty windy roads in the north eastern hills. i have done this before with the e-series club, just thought i might throw the idea out there?

Tristan

Hey Jason. I decided to race last night, wasnt going to originally but when i saw that it was going to be a minimum of 9 degrees i changed my mind. I only had two runs aswell which was disappointing, someones comp car had spilt oil down the track and they had to do a massive cleanup which took about an hour and a half :.

Doug and i raced and it was wheelspin city for both of us, and because i only had 2 runs i couldnt try out different techniques to get the best out of the car. On my first run, i stalled it to 1500rpm, like always, and the car spun right off the line. My 60ft was 2.7sec and i ran 15.77. On my second run, i stalled it to just 1000rpm, no wheelpsin and the car ran a 2.5 second 60ft and a 15.6. It felt really slow of the mark on that run, and could have handled a higher stall. In last nights conditions, a stall of between 1200 to 1300 rpm would have netted the best results. Afterall, stock i was managing low 2.3 second 60 footers so last night was a bit disappointing but i guess thats racing for you. Still, it was a great night, also caught up with Bud and Jarrod, unfortunately Scott couldnt make it down.

I can organise the route and maps etc which i can post up as a word file so you can pritn you own off the save cost. the last couple of times we met up at eltham macca's and went from there. but i was thinking tuesday night meet at 6.30 leave at 7pm on the dot! what do you think?

edit;
I think it might be better to meet at St helena shopping centre, as its not far off the ringroad and a much bigger car park and not as "macca's hang out" like.

Hey Guys,

It was a good night, caught up with a few guys I knew and a few others I didn't. Had some runs but it was spin city, my tyres are stuffed. Best I ran was 14.71@95.3 with a 2.225 60ft, but that was a soft launch. When I tried to launch normally my 60ft times were 2.5. Still I managed a 14.82@95.6 with a 60ft of 2.501, so the potential is there. So relax BigAl, you can stay in second place for a while.

Hey Tristan,

Good to catch up with you. That's a great idea for a cruise, see what you can organise and put it up in the Events section.

BTW, the reason you didn't know there is a bseries forum is because until last night it didn't exist. :

Cheers,
Doug

P.S. You should contact a mod and get your username changed mate, the name doesn't quite match your new XR8. LOL

WHERE: Nunnawading Maccas - cnr Sprigvale Rd & Maroondah Hwy
WHEN: 13th March 2007 @ 7.30pm

Ok due to the cruise on tue night I'm taking the assumption that this is cancelled or postponed.
