Yes, the world record which has fine print under it saying 'sometimes having a world record means you have to create one' and 'well we're claiming it anyway'.

Not sure if this has been posted before. Looks pretty brutal and sounds good.

Have a better look at the picture. Its quite a misleading angle. The dash actually curves around to the vent surround, which, whilst not a perfect parallel line, makes it look crooked.

There is nothing misleading about the angle. The stitching is wonky. Having a better look at it makes it more obvious that it's poor workmanship.

HSV is seriously out of their league when it comes to competing to the Euros. I cant understand why theres all this crap in articles about comparing the GTS to a Mercedes Benz etc. Its a Holden, not a BMW, not a Mercedes Benz and not an Audi. I cant see people who buy brand new Euros all the time swapping over too a Commodore!!! this dodgy stitching is the proof!!

How do you know you wouldn't see it from the passengers seat? The pic is taken from the drivers seat, you can't tell me that having that wonky stitching in the corner of your eye wouldn't give you the *****.

Look closer at it if you need to. Where the two materials join together. The stitching IS wonky.

I know what you mean. I think it's quite funny that they would even attempt to make comparisons with euros. But that's how arrogant HSV is. Put whatever badge on it that you want, whatever motor, brakes, suspension, at the end of the day it's still a Holden. Cheap ****.

What's worse is how the magazines and journos make the comparisons and tell everyone that it is Euro quality for a bargain price.

Why wouldn't they compare it to euro vehicles? Its about the only thing they can compare it to, there is no other local car that has the tech features / performance hardware to match it. I do agree the interior and build quality aren't in the same league as the euro's but it is only a 93k performance car at the end of the day.

I think it's a bad idea to have joins and stitching sections in clear view like this, better to have them hidden or design the interior to have the joins in areas that obscure irregularities to mask lower quality control. Unless of course your Ferrari or Lambo.

I think it would look better without the stitching altogether to be honest, or maybe have the stitching a similar colour to the dash or something

and that is exactly why it isn't in the same league. the difference between the euros there comparing it to fall into the category of prestige. HSV might be performance but no one who goes out and buys one of these euros every few years isn't exactly going too take a look at the GTS. one of my old employers only buys Mercedes Benz and BMWs. He'd look at this car and would laugh. Its sad but its true. the only people that will buy a GTS will be HSV fans and people interested in Australian performance cars.

Isn't it ironic then that the VF dashboard was probably produced on the same production line that Falcon dashboards are produced on?

Your Holden hatred and the way you find little things like this and blow them out of all proportion to try and justify your flawed argument is pathetic and downright sad. Do everyone a favour and grow up for once.

Dude your outa line.....that stitching IS woefull...espescially for a EURO.
I've seen a couple of new Ssv redlines around.....and they look feral in black i say. They sit to high....(the rear end shape doesn't help) and the poxy cheap side vent stands out like a Kia badge.
Oh and they aren't fast either

Any VF performance figures out yet?
(Figures come out exceeding all expectations and beating all Ford has to offer hands down)
The stitching is wonky though!!!
And the R-Spec has a better colour combination!!!

I love AFF!!

I saw a HSV VF GTS at Calder Park on show
To me it just looked like a VF SS
The HSV VE's are very distinguishable and this is lost with the VF's.

Wasn't the issue with a lot of Ford Fans that the FPV's weren't all that much different looking to the XR's?

No one has brought this up with the VF as of yet?
Why not? Or is is just cooler for Ford Fans to bash the FPV product rather than the HSV product?

Who cares if they do, does anyone complain an M3 looks too similar to a regular 3 series? That a C63 looks like a regular C class?

The Commodore/Falcon are donor cars to their performance stablemates, there is no hiding that.

That is not the point I was making - way to go off track

I was comparing the thoughts posted I have read
FPV vs FORD to HSV vs Holden

They both have similar looks now but everyone is oh HSV your awesome and we love you but when it was FPV with a killer 5.0 S/C beast it was it doesn't look much different to a FORD
