Funny you say that, i was telling my son if he gets an offer for management training, take it. To be fair that will be a long ways away as he is only new to the job and only 14, but i know enough people who started as shit kickers who say that the manager training courses provided at places like maccas are a very good stepping stone for career advancment. I also gave him the advice to show initiative, as in if you have nothing to do, ask for something to do, as opposed to getting told off for not doing anything. And if you don't fully understand instruction, dont feel like an idiot to ask for a better explaination. From the other side of that, there is nothing worse the having (in my case) an apprentice say yep yep yep then after a while checking up on them and they have created more work as they were too afraid to look silly by asking further questions. Im not one to belittle people, and you do not get answers to questions you dont ask.

Homemade seatbelt soup; perfect for a chilly day.
Strain before serving; add cracked pepper and either a dollop of sour cream or Grano Padano to taste. Bon appétit!

Is that the same cooking process as black swan.where you put a lump of bluestone in with the swan to cook then when the bluestone gets soft, throw the swan out and eat the blue stone

Is it sun-ripened? And leave it overnight to help bring out the full flavours.

I had the car serviced this week and nothing extra although have confirmed the clutch is on the way out officially though I suspected the throwout was failing.

As far as I know as I bought it in 2006 and it is a MY03 so it is the original clutch that has 260+k kms on so I have had a good run

Engine or gearbox I'm out and selling it as a roller but clutch I can work with. They say it is in very good condition with no worries otherwise and they see a lot of them.

I was able to stop a clueless SUV driver from merging into a freshly minted L-plate motorcyclist.

I’d been “monitoring” the bike from a few seconds behind, as his lane position wasn’t ideal and stability low - but he had every right to be safe on the road from blind drivers. Some years ago I witnessed an “impossible” near miss involving an inexperienced L-plate bike rider and a car; one of those events which still upsets me to contemplate.

It was good to be able to intervene today, the ute has quite raucous horns out of an Alfa and it pulled the SUV driver up from completing his crash-bound manoeuvre.

Did the learner burner bike have the stock silent exhaust on it?

The battle lines are being drawn to take on Australian Rail and Track and save the unique historic goods shed at Euroa station.
The bastards were about to pull it down without notice but the people of Euroa managed to have a court injunction stop it.

People of Euroa 1

ARTC 0

This mob just like to p*ss every town off along the mainline.

Good on you (collectively).

Watch for the divide-and-conquer strategy that undermines support by splitting your group via internal arguments. EG, big fights on how to preserve/relocate/repurpose etc.

For some reason this reminds me of when the nsw goveco moved out of govener maquarie tower and the mob i worked with was doing the strip out make good. One bloke found a piece of fishing line hanging out very descreetly from a ceiling tile of the transport ministers old office. So he looked in the ceiling and attached was a usb stick. He thought it would contain videos of the transport minister banging his secretary. That wasnt the case. It was just 1988 press releases about the tangaras. None of that makes sense as both usb sticks and govener maquarie tower did not exist in 1988. And why would public knowledge like press releases need to be hidden?

Going through my inbox and un-subscribing to countless companies trying to sell me crap I don't need or want. Most were from one off purchase I made for birthday or Christmas gifts, but have been spammed each and every day with emails ever since.

I would suggest a less pushy approach might yield these companies a better response instead of sending one to three emails day in, day out. Put it this way, if Detailing Shed send me an email once a week or once a month about upcoming sales or new products, then I spend time reading/scanning over the email, which then often leads me to following the link to their website.

On the other hand, let's say Bonds or Total Tools, well I get so much mail from them every day that I ignore them, they get deleted without even opening the message. At which point, why even bother in the first place. I can't be the only one doing this.

You'll like this one.
I bought a novel for the missus from Booktopia. From that day onward I got caned with emails so as you do, searched the emails for Unsubscribe button.
But there wasnt one. My frustration was amplified by searching their website for a way to unsubscribe....the result? A suggestion of dozens of books for sale to help with this intrusive problem.
I think Im still subscribed.
