Sitting up in Halls Gap with my caravan, first time this year for me to get it out and loving it.
Clear sky and sinking down a quite a few beers in front of the wood fire; cant get any better. I'm p***ed Cheers. |

Withholding my knowledge from a bigoted, arrogant and narrowminded troll. Figure it out for yourself as far as I'm concerned. What go's around comes around and all that.

Pair of kookaburras in the couple of gum trees near my place having a good chuckle at something. I could have done without it at 6 am tho.
A very pleasant sound to hear in suburbia.

Maybe a sprinkle or two, but not much forecast over the next couple of days. I hope they're right, we could do with a dry patch.

Went for a walk today.
So? 3 weeks post-op Total knee replacement to correct bone disease in my right leg. 1700 steps without any assistance, I feel quite sore but I'm happy. Well ahead with where I should be, 105 degrees total knee movement aiming for 120 degrees @ 6 weeks. Now to finish doing my exercises then maybe a nanny-nap. Terry aka Tbro |

Got to spend the day with my daughter yesterday. Got all my jobs out of the way on Saturday to make room. After she made me breakfast, we decided to go for a walk along the beach. It was pretty cool but enjoyable none the less. Happy to just spend time with her.
![]() Was good for her, too as she has a busy week this week with two year 11 SACs, a year 12 SAC and the year 12 GAT. She gets stressed easily and was in a tizz on Friday, so I think the quiet day and the fresh air did wonders. Headed through the running creek (right of picture) and onto the beach where very few people go. A great way to spend Father's Day.

Replaced my 10yo laptop this week, keyboard was slowly dying. It’s amazing the level of rage you feel when the A,N and enter keys only work intermittently.

So with Covid my work slowed down, got in a rut and just vegetated like a sedentary carrot in the ground and put on weight.
Anyway to try to pull myself out I started road cycling. From the front verandah of my house I look directly over Mt Sugarloaf, which is a steep road to a lookout that looks out over Lake Macquarie. I tried after some weeks to ride up it, needed like 3 rests and had to do the walk of shame up the steepest part. Further training and riding, and I managed to get it down to 2 rests (walk of shame up steepest part), then lately, 1 rest just after the steepest part. The problem is that you climb for some kms at about 10 -12 degrees, then three quarters way up it jacks up to 15% (steepest part inducing walk of shame), and after some 400 metres at 15% it backs down to some 12-13% for another 400 metres. When you ride 15% it is so steep your front wheel is hopping with the strain, and you are going so slowly and it is so steep that if you cannot keep enough pace to keep upright, you can fall over as it is hard to unclip your feet out. Anyway, last week I rode Wottons Way over Mt Buledelah (44km with 968 metres climbing-fantastic road now that is soo quiet) and today had another crack at Mt Sugarloaf- and finally got it. So happy. And bonus was I was passed by a beautiful Mk 2 escort (thought it was a classic 1000 cc motorbike by engine sound behind) , and when the Escort passed me on the way down I gave a big thumbs up and the driver waved and gave a big smile. So it was a double feel good day for me today!!!

New laptops are so much thinner, lighter and faster. I bought a pretty basic azus. It absolutely craps all over my decade + old hp. Press the on and no joke it takes 3 seconds to boot as opposed to 30 seconds or more of the old one. |

“Excavated” some of the toolbox today. Mr 4 would definitely call me a grub or slob for not keeping my gear shipshape. In archaeological context I’ve probably dug down to early 2020.
![]() It was good to bin a bunch of dead sealant cartridges and return about eight aerosols to the garage shelves, where they really belong. The extra space created is noticeable. |

Have been fortunate enough to be able to get my daughter away for a few nights to reset after her stressful last couple of school weeks.
Ended up getting a place in Marlo, right in front of the Snowy River. Here's the view from the balcony: ![]() Daughter went for a surf today at Salmon Beach, so I took the opportunity to go for an 8km beach run. Looking towards Point Ricardo ![]() Looking back towards Salmon Rocks / West Cape ![]() Apart from the few people on Salmon Beach, I was the only one on the whole beach. Beautiful.

My brother and I took my other brother to the Perth Royal Show yesterday.
Now he's 59, has Downs Syndrome, arthritic, 90% deaf and onset dementia, I know, right, some people are dealt shyte cards. So, at the show having a good time and then he cracks it. Can't figure it out. Won't talk to me, turned has back on me while eating lunch, Won't watch the sheep dog trials. So we went home, I raced ahead to get the car and drove back to pick them up. My other brother walked back with him. On the walk back my disabled brother confided I was "bloody rude". WTF did I do? Penny dropped this morning. We were in one of the pavillions where all the old farm equipment is, every year straight there, he loves it. Anyway, some really old girl with a walker is sitting down next to a table. She was one of the volunteers. On the table was a couple of stubby holders and she was holding an enamel mug, just finished a cuppa. My brother whips out some coin and goes to put it in the cup and I stopped him. Bloody rude. Just told my other brother, we both got a laugh out of it.

An afternoon free of rain and chill, a casual cruise in the AU through the hills, a few purchases at Beerenberg and a tasty pub burger for lunch.

I finally got around to cleaning up the Weber Q in time for daylight savings and GF
![]() It was pretty dirty and in fact the al foil drip tray actually dissolved. I went to lift it out and there was no bottom so **** everywhere ![]() One of the best things I bought was the Weber Q cookbox scraper. A fairly plain looking piece of plastic but **** me it does almost all the work cleaning these things. Before I was stuffing around with wipes and sponges taking forever but now just spray the cleaner on and scrape it away ![]() |
