Recovered 3TB of data on mum's secondary drive, where she stores ALL her photos, videos and files. It has photos of my nephew and niece from since when they were born. So you can imagine the pressure to succeed!
The hard drive just died a few days ago. Windows would try run an integrity check on it on start up, but will progress 5% after 2 days!! Couldn't even access it via explorer. After a bit more research, ran a quick format on the drive, then used a data recovery tool to get the data back. Risky, but it worked!! 400,000 files restored, but all the file names were lost. Now she can spend the next 7 days of lock down sorting through it. Moral of the story...BACK UP....Online if you are not worried about BIG GOV spying. And if you are getting rid of a hard drive that you have saved sensitive files on...BURN IT or SLEDGE HAMMER IT, or run a proper data destruction tool.....you'd be surprised how easy it was to get data back.

I did the 'wrong' thing today. I visited my brother. Well, maybe not so wrong, but he has been going absolutely phsycotic with lack of personal contact due to restrictions. His head has never been in the greatest space, but anyhow, he calmed his farm. But anyhow, he has seen the doc and has this yet to get pathology back on his infection issue, so his body is heaps rashed and his feet are cracked and bleeding. So i did the not what i wanted, but i did it anyways, tweezered out a splinter of unknown origin from his deseised foot.
But the stupid thing was, he said to me he wants to buy a skateboard, but doesnt know what deck width to get. My personal preference is 7.5'. However, i do have a skateboard in my boot and its an 8' width. Its set up for an adult. So my desiesed foot brother took it to the top of his driveway and surprisingly i didnt need to coat hanger him at the bottom of the hill. He stopped on his own, even with desiesed feet. He's not young either, he's 40. But he had fun with that, why stroll when you can roll? The skateboard thing, well, my kid is almost 12 and skateboards are cool to him, he has his own so i also bought my own. Slightly different as kids are slightly different, but hey, im 34 and still have it sort of. |

Was woken at 9am by some council workers grinding a tree stump in the street, I mean how dare they ruin my sleep in courtesy of the lockdown!!
Being a man of leisure at the moment, the mid morning coffee I made myself was pretty good though.

A young friend of mine is having a baby in LGH today. She’s survived cancer and a near-fatal car accident to become a paramedic and home owner, all before 25. It’s good to see things continuing well for her. Her bloke’s alright, loves her to bits and is happy to be under her thumb.
We’re all speculating on whether the sprog will be blonde like her or a ranga like him. |

So, backstory. My neighbour is looking after her daughters dog. Her daughter has an infant and a toddler, so understandably theres a bit in that. Her youngest son is a good mate of mine and is between places so moved back in next door. So boris the dog, he is a cross breed of 2 different brands of mop dog, he hates my rc car. His bark is worse then his bite, and his bark is weak. So ripping my rc car he was running up and down the fence line. So my mate comes out to see what his problem is. So over the fence i handed my mate the rc car and the dog hasnt had this much excersize ever. Big man little dog, yet after chasing it if it stopped wouldnt come closer then 3 feet. It was pretty entertaining, my mates mum took a video to send to her daughter. So the dogs batteries wore out faster then the rc car, so no walkies today, but a trip to the water bowl. It was pretty entertaining.

Monday last, a neighbour from down the street offered me a free motor; her son left it behind when he moved out.
I said, sorry; chockers in car bits already, what was it from - might be able to suggest something. “A Nissan” I was told. So I suggested she put it up for offers on FB Marketplace. The offers started rushing in. Turned out to be a fully dressed RB26DET. So - today my neighbour, on her walk past, informed me of how it had gone - and was thankful for a suggestion which will carry them much further along financially. |

Tidied up my shed, bench covered in hand tools and power tools.
Now everything is pretty much back where it should be so I can find them.

Watching Ariane Titmus beat Kate Ledecky in the 400m freestyle, it was a replay but watched it live yesterday!
Made me happy, happy for Ariane, she looks like a nice young lass! Cheers William |

In training not to be a victim of cancer, type 2 diabetes, alzheimer's, inflammation, or spend the last 5 years of my life full of aches and pains and on ten different meds - research autophagy.
And FYI the meal was rather large. T-bone steak, 3 eggs (sunny side up) fried tomato and broccolini. Garlic, butter and parsley melted then poured over steak. Lemon juice over the broccolini and the plate topped with pink Himalayan salt. Next was a bowl of home-made Bolognese sauce (non traditional) on it's own (no pasta or garlic bread) with a heap of parmesan cheese. My sauce contains bacon, beef (70-30 fat to meat ratio), onion, garlic, celery, carrot, red and green peppers, olive oil, oregano, basil, bay leaves, pink Himalayan salt, and finished with 2 tablespoons of 100% butter. Not processed or carb free, but extremely low. |

I eat low carb and fast 16:8 so you may be preaching to the choir Choosing to eat healthy (whatever works for you) is great, but genetics can still trip up the "healthiest" diet. And I feel good today because I work outside, it's cold and the soil is damp, but I see signs of Spring just around the corner everywhere!

I'm WFH, sitting out in my alfresco area enjoying the nearly 20°C warmth and sun, rocking out to triple m's double shot Tuesday.
Have the bed linen on the line getting a well deserved airing (after being washed) and the house is open airing out, too. Can't wait for winter weather to be gone.

This should not have made me feel good and its not cool and poor form but it did nevertheless.....
Driving into work today in my Fiesta ST along Pacific Highway just past Charlestown heading into CBD. Other side heading towards Charlestown a new black Camaro bubbling around a sweeping curve. Then a discrete distance back behind the Camaro was a shiny deep blue Chrysler SRT Highway Patrol vehicle , bubbling along behind in stalking mode. Sometimes pays to be driving a whitegoods shopping trolley
