Default can any one help me out about capri's

hi all, i have had a 1972 ford capri gt v6 for 6 years
some guy was telling me he got a 1973 v6 gt capri the same but diffrent year
does anyone know where i could goe to see all the capri's that were made and the years that they came out in cheers. joe :

I have a 74 3000 Ghia and a 83 2.8 injection.

I dreamed of a 1970 GT3000 but had to settle for clapped out 1.6l which was duly replaced with an Escort 2.0 motor with weber carbs. Too bad it only lasted me 3mths before I was t-boned at an intersection. This was 1990 and the car was written off for the princely sum of $4000. Wish I still had it as it was like new after I'd finished with it - both externally and internally.

That crappy British metal that used to rust at the slightest sea spray was also replaced with fibreglass in areas such as the guards which made it quite light...and a beauty to drive.

Apologies for my reminiscing but they were a timeless shape.

The shape was good on the Mk1s, got to love them. Rust can be bad but no worse than XA-C coupes. My Capri's where made in Germany and are rust free. They left the UK when they where a few years old.

theres a capri owners forum i can idg it up if you like. there is some info on the fpv site

My capri mk 1 was built in november 1972 which was the last month of australian production and first registered in march 1973. Some would call this a 1973 model. But they would be wrong.

I think we have one member who has a 1973 model Capri. Capri sales had slowed considerably by late 1972 so cars built in late 72 probably were not registered until well into 1973. These cars are highly sought after today as many of them had been fitted with a few extras by the dealers to "shift" them off the lot.
