Screw the original ford one's they are poo

Get a Fiberglass copy as the ford one's are a pain in the to fit and the fiberglass ones wont warp.

fmvince@dcsi.net.au e-mail this guy if you want pic's and stuff. Ther based in Phillip Island in VIC.

Did EB/ED Xr's even come out in stark white? Just go buy the one you have found, and have it resprayed imo.

I just bought a lip soiler from the wreckers for around $160. It was a genuine rubber one. The fibre glass ones I'm pretty sure are on the SVO Falcons.
In regards to painting it, I would strongly recommend you get it sand blasted first to remove all the original paint. To remove the original ones from the boot you need to break the factory glue which holds them to the top of the boot lid. And to do this, the paint will crack. If you then simply paint over in your white paint, you will see the cracks through the white paint. It will look crap under light.

BTW, the original ones are easy to install. There are 5 M6x16mm bolts mounted in the spoiler which slot through holes in the edge of the boot lid, and you just place 5 M6 Nuts on the bolts. You will also need to place some glue to hold the hotizontal part of the spoiler to the boot.

Hope this helps...

Getting the whole boot lid sounds like the easiest option. I'm not sure whether EB's came in stalk white though - I've never heard that colour!
And also, "Yes", the paint cracks when removing the spoiler from the boot lid.
