Well on Saturday night the worst thing that could happen...had to happen to me. Thats right the clutch gave way and had to tow my baby to get fixed. Worst thing is that it's about $400 for a clutch kit....shattered

Well good news and bad news on my front. Ordered the clutch kit today and it will be arriving tomorrow. Bad news is that I need a new thrust bearing but it doesn't come in the clutch kit so might have to wait another day. Took a few not so happy snaps for you all to see
 Clutch and bellhousing on the floor waiting  Clutch and pressure plate with the clutch plate missing the one of the four springs.

Maybe get your flywheel lightened whilst your at it.
Did you get a better clutch? or the stock ford item again? 400 bucks, pretty cheap. I hope that if anything ever does go wrong with my car i can get away paying as little as that.

I just got the stock clutch again didn't want to wait around waiting for a new clutch to be made no aftermarket clutches around. It was $300 for the clutch kit and $135 for a new thrust bearing....so $435, can't complain much. Oh and $50 for the towing lol

Well got my clutch kit today minus the thrust bearing, that is coming in tomorrow. Thought I would take pics for everyone. Most know what these things are.

the clutch in my Zetec went @ 4,000km....replaced under warranty so no issues there for me fortunately...

mitch your wrong buddy sorry keep trying.
Also got my car back. Had a bit of a scare couldn't get it into 4th or reverse but found wires caught on the linkages and fixed it all up and now she drives like a dream

Now take it easy on that poor little clutch till it beds in again. I bet your engine and gearbox are nice and quiet when its idling now. Trust bearings make weird noises if you let your car idle for a long time :P
