Next on my list is wheel nuts and Trans pan (composite one on the front of trans) as it has a minor weep. Worst thing is it was replaced 20k ago by Ford according to service paperwork from previous owner so going to wait till trans is due in another 10k to remove and reseal with blue-max. The guy on youtube video I linked in original post is an excellent source of information as he has uploaded a lot videos for repair of 'Mk5 Mondeos' he is a mechanic for a taxi company in the UK so if there's an issue he's probably seen it before.
Yeah, Alan Howatt, good guy, knows these cars really well.
I have to say, I've had a bit to do with seven or eight DCT450s and haven't seen a leaking front pan yet. Must just have been lucky so far.

Another good channel on YouTube for info on servicing the transmissions and valve bodies is "Yep That'sit" he's a kiwi transmission specialist.

They are a good car. A great long distance highway car, very quiet and comfortable, and Sydney to Melbourne takes about 3/4 of a tank. If Ford dealers weren't such crooks they'd be an even better car.
