can someone please tell me where are the removal points on xr8 engine.
you have a hitch at rear of engine but nothing at front. i use bolt put thru chain into the exhurest nut thread?? worry bend the rocker cover?? please need advice thanks |

I removed a V8 recently and it had a removal loop bracket bolted into the first two header bolts on the passenger side. Maybe get one of those?

Yes, on that side. I looked on eBay but cannot find anything. Maybe try a wrecker?

what way should i unbolt engine from Mount?
the bolt that goes thru mount and chassie ...or... two bolts thru mount on engine ? will be putting anthor engine in. thanks |

I undid the bolt that goes through the chassis, one spanner on the rear to jam it from moving, ratchet on the front. Then I removed the mounts from the engine once it was out.
I would say this would be the easiest way when putting the new engine in since they will help locate the engine to the chassis.
