Default Aftermarket throttle body for Au2 Xr8

Hi guys,

Has anybody had any success with fitting an aftermarket tb and adapting the tps to suit. I need a larger throttle body to finish a top end upgrade on my ute and given the rarity of the tickford throttle bodies i am wondering what the options might be. Ive already got a bbk 70mm but the tps is the older style for the e series and joe from crescent motors doesnt think the voltage will be correct. Anybody have any ideas, the car is at a standstill until i can source a throttle body.

Get an Accufab, 70-80mm unit. They all use the E-series TPS, no way around it. Rewire it with an E-series connector and it will be fine, plenty of AUs have been done this way.

The accufab isn't a straight fit though.

Yeah the aftermarket one i have will bolt straight on its just the electronics causing the issues. Might have to try and modify the wiring for the tps and hope it can be adjusted to the correct voltage

It's the throttle cable mounting bracket studs on the EGR spacers that is the issue. The TB's are the same but the EGR spacers have a different way of mounting the throttle cable bracket than what our factory ones do, as the yanks run them on the other side of the motor.

I couldn't find any at all, for either the E series or the AU.

So there was no issues with voltages using the e series tps? Sweet no issue with having to modify for the throttle cable. Thanks for the help
