be wary if its not a ford factory warranty.
The third party ones have limits and conditions which make them worthless most of the time
because they pay the seller of the warranty good money as commission

Make sure its the "myFord Extended New Vehicle Warranty" which is the only one that gives you the same coverage as the new car warranty.
Even the other "ford" warranties such as "myFord Factory Approved Warranty" and "myFord Vehicle Warranty- Essentials and advantage" only cover certain components and are more like the used car warranties most dealers try to sell you.

I have been caught three times with this (you would think I would learn after the first!!) but the devil is in the detail. First off, you have to have the car serviced by the dealership every 6 months, then they only pay out on 'mechanical damage'. Now what the sales man say and what is actually paid are two separate things. From the price I would say it is not the Ford one so be aware.
I can tell you at one service I was told the rear bushes needed replacing and front timing cover seal was leaking. Beauty says I - fix em under warranty. Well the rear bushes were done but they denied coverage for the seal

In other words the salesman hasn't got a clue?

To me, it's either an Alianz warranty or a Ford one.

Has to be the genuine ford warranty. The others only cover you if a part breaks. It does not cover leaking seals etc.

All Ford factory warranties are underwritten by Allianz. If they are offering you an extended warranty make it is the Factory Extended Warranty as stated above. Do not fall for the ol' it's "like" a factory warranty.
