Default Fuel pump

Had a standard pump which was useless and put in a Walbro..This has been fantastic until......................
My Friday..being single n all ..had a "friend" fly in the arvo....left home at 3.30..airport at 4.15...traffic just total crap..T purring like a kitten...freeway.. bolte bridge..tunnel..get to warrigal rd...traffic bumper to bumper..just hit oakleigh and she stops..traffic so bad I couldn't get out to push..just to dangerous..wouldn't start...flashers on once a bit of traffic eased I started to let it roll backwards as there was side road about 20m back..got out and..funny PEOPLE DON'T TOOT when u got a big **** tatt....time 6.30 ...tried to start.. no go..waited for a good buddy to turn up so we walked across the road and had a few bevy's at a restaurant with ma gurly..as u do.Gary turned up and we wrkd out it was the fuel pump... went home and had a spare so fitted and it fired up..yaaaa fn hooo..the thing is the walbro was fitted 10k ago and why would it f up...tested it this morning and it wrkd off the battery..was it a faulty connection in the car or the pump..side note... took her for a drive yesterday and blew her mind..he h

So I have another standard one in there..
What should I do ..buy another walbro or get a catch can... can't afford to waist dollars
note...347 slightly warm..........
