When they sell it to foreign countries for cents a liter, it's virtually treason to force your own population to pay up as close as buggery to a buck a liter for the stuff.
Look at the oil producing nations...their own people get looked after first, paying a token amount per liter for petrol. That our gutless government doesn't do the same for us is with gas is frankly criminal.

It's been a while since I have owned a LPG vehicle, back then the price was $0.50cpl, now close to a dollar????

What's more astonishing is the fact that the majority of other countries around the world are eager to locate alternative fuels and would kill to have what we have in this country in terms of large deposits of gas, minerals, metals etc. We would also have to be the only country with a leader that will happily allow a major alternative fuel (LPG) to be exploited in their very own country!

Gillard should be keeping the price lower by selling at a higher rate to overseas customers to offset the price in Australia. This would assist with Australians to start seriously considering LPG vehicles which are now available in a large range of vehicles from Holden and Ford as we all know. Gillard should be driving Australians to embrace LPG as a reliable, cheap and readily available alternative fuel.

But with the price at $1, why bother!

The price of LPG went up when leadership challenge in Labour party started.
Any deals to hang on to power? Just a thought!

But that would make too much sense, and theirs one thing that governments are renowned for not having, common sense. They'll chase down a completely stupid course of action with a great deal of zeal, but a simple solution that makes sense is totally ignored.

Ahhhh. My thought for the day.

Off to work in my ULP sucking XF.

And from Nelson Bay to Singleton (Hunter region) LPG at various brand servos were all 98.9c

What the hell happened the past few months to just about double the price of LPG?

What is it the first winter in Europe? We have never seen this kind of increase before due to a cold winter overseas. Is the Gov that broke that they need the extra tax dollars. Im sure Taxis will increase fares very soon and will not decrease IF the price of LPG goes down. It will also impact on the baby boomers that opted for the cheaper caravan trip around Australia rather than the overseas trip. All this will do is increase inflation, hurt the local tourism and hurt the local LPG auto industry.

The Gov has to get the money back some how for the gas install rebate.
