Default Reservoir Low Indication

Just wondering if anyone knows either a quick fix or how much a new sensor is for the coolant reservoir? The little bucket icon thing next to the gear selection on the display.

I know my coolant level is good, temp is stable etc and its been on for ages. Had the car serviced today and this is the only thing wrong with it. I can live with it but its a little bit annoying.

Im assuming is the plug thing that goes into the side of the tank?

you might wanna just undo the connection at the side of the tank and give it a clean. Sometimes the terminals need a bit of cleaning for better contact. I had this issue before and that's all that was done and no other issues since.

If you are still having issues after this, consider getting the fault codes looked at.

If all of the above solutions fail. I have one from either a fairmont Ghia or a Fairlane Ghia which you can have for the right price.

iirc it is just two magnets set up like a float in your $shitter... Using needle nose pliers unscrew the bung section to remove the sensor and spray some brake cleaner into the two 'pincers' of the mechanism.. Give it a good wipe and dry and refit... problem solved
