Does anyone think fuel additives actually work?
I would like to hear (read) peoples thoughts on additives like 'Fuel injector & Carby Cleaner' that you add to a tank of fuel when you fill up. Do you think they work? |

keep in mind fuel already has some additives in it for whatever reason, like for anti corrosion for example.
i dunno if anything has been proven yet as to whether 3rd party additives work or not or are good or bad for your car. i have used some on crap cars i've had, wyns octane boost and injector cleaner I never noticed a difference one way or another. |

If an injector is gummed up, has been for years, I doubt they will do anything. As a preventative used from new every so many months, it MIGHT be beneficial to slow the gumming process.
Carby cleaner is good for washing parts though for rebuilding etc. |
