Default How to get the chrome strips of TD Cortina doors

as the title says i need to know how to get the chrome strips of the doors as i need to weld right near them but dont wanna risk damaging them

If you mean the black / chrome trim bits on the doors - i looked at mine today and theyre only held on with double sided tape - But my car has had a respray at some point in its life so im unsure if yours would be the same. If that is the case, sliding something like a credit card under it to start peeling it off - or if its really stubborn, very carefully use a hair dryer

I have a TC and TD out the back for parts so checked. The strips on both pulled off no probs. probably would be better to use a hair dryer to soften if you want to save them. (paint stripper gun too hot)

chrome strips ..a real flat blade no sharp edges at all and hold flat..i know it sound bad but once you get it started its all good..
