Default Series 1 ,2 ,3 Build Dates

Hey fellas, here's a trivia question for ya. What years were these in production, reason being I want to purchase a climate control from a 5/2000 model AU GHIA, I wanted to know if it is the amber back light or the normal white one? many thanks. p.s don't attempt to fix the ribbon for faded pixels yourself. I sent mine off to Liquidxtl and he couldn't repair it as I trimmed a bit off the ribbon. Bugger

with no power the Series 1 screen will be black and the Series 2 and 3 will be white/green.

If you can't see the unit then I'm almost positive it will be a Series 2 anyway with that build date
