Mate, this won't help you much now, but may make people more aware.
As far as contents insurance goes in unit / Body Corp type properties, there are very few policies that will cover common areas such as car parks and court yards. Even a locked up keep/cage is still in a common area will usually not be covered. Keep things like that in your unit. Now for the tounge in cheek part. Why have a $5000 + mountain bike...Kmart sell mountain bikes for about $200

if you can take a $200 dollar mountain bike down a double diamond downhill track going around 50-60km/h and survive i will give you $1000 bucks. that kurander range down hill track is a ripper
