Personally I would charge them for your time and demand a loan car.

I had a mirror scratched by a Perth Subi dealer. They suggested I buff it out. I suggested they may wish to come up with a better solution.
The solution we came up with was they kept the car for two days to have it resprayed, whilst I had one of their loan cars. They came and picked my car up.

I am a firm believer in that if it isn't my fault, I shouldn't be disadvantaged by their mistake and stick to that principal.

I didn't know that! Mine is in getting it's 45k service today at Ultra Tune. I asked them to try and diagnose the rubbing/scraping noise coming from the right rear of mine while they have it as Ford couldn't hear it when I took it in last time. It'd be great if Ultra tune could fix it too!

pads are not too badly worn and are wearing pretty evenly. The ultra tune guys checked my wheel bearings and brakes etc today but everything looked perfectly normal. I think I'm just going to ignore it from now on. It's obviously nothing too dramatic.

I've been merrily belting mine, it's now got a slight clunk on the clutch take up and a slight whirring from one wheel. Bleh...if I brake it I get new bits on warranty

I spoke to the guys at Ford to tell them about the prices for the replacement stripes... also mentioned to them about the problem is still there... they are gonna take another look on Monday. (lets hope they fix it this time and don't try to wash the car).

If they fail a second time I'll be calling into my loacl ultra tune as per your advice.

Ford told me today that they got an error code for the tone wheel in the front left. (wonder why they didn't check the diags before??) Anyway they replaced that and found that the old one had some teeth missing. so far things are looking really good, but I've only driven it home so far, so time will tell.

And yes they did cover it under warranty however I was told that the tone wheel is not usually covered?

I also took the stripes off the bonnet on the weekend. Who would have thought that there was blue paint under there???

I will be... Got my car booked in for oct9 for the stripes to go back on... Exactly the same as before but this time i''m getting a gloss laminate put over the top to protect them from stone chips....Also be getting astone shiled to help protect (i know they look ugly as but if it is gonna protect the delicate stripes.....)

Mulett your car was silver wasn't it??? yeah black would look great!!! (elenor anyone??)
you can get some stripes from www.bladerunnergraphics.com (where i got mine from). but you'll have to either put them on yourself or find someone to do it for you.
