You mean for suspension or for the steering wheel?

I'm assuming you mean for driver safety. Anything is possible I guess with enough money, but the airbags in modern cars are integrated into the cars electronics, with multiple sensors etc.

Plus, the steering hardware would have to be changed to a newer unit?

Would think it would cost a few thousand dollars at a rough guess?? I have no clue, but seeing as no one else has replied I though I would give my thoughts on the matter.

Will look fwd to other peoples responses on this one!

Thanks for the reply.

I thourgh it would cost but changing my car would cost a lot too and I love driving my little capri.

As you say maybe some has some good news for me.

I thought that airbags were standard on the Capris (or at least an option on the LHD export Mercury models).

The car was meant to be on the market in America months (6?) earlier but they had to redesign it so that it incorporated air bags for the occupants. The redesign pushed the launch date back and by the time it was available it was right in the middle of the frenzy caused by the first iteration of the Mazda Miata/MX5.
