Hi, recently purchased a Ford Telstar ghia se, with a build date of dec 92, its one of the 2.5 litre v6's, auto, and it came with a broken keyless entry remote in the glove box, trying to find out if it would have come with a keyless entry remote (it has central locking) and if i can get one of the programmable ones you can buy off ebay to fit it, does anyone have any idea if these were made with keyless entry and if so a model number or something for the remote?? thanks, Glenn

Give Ford Spares a ring mate. They should know those sort of things specifically. Id doubt these sort of things that anyone would typically be able to find on the net.

Surprisngly, these cars did not come with remote entry ( my wife has the ghia). There is no motor in the driver's door to actuate the other doors. It can only be done manually by key. I installed a Jaycar 4 door central locking system and alarm to give me remote entry and I tell ya, it is a ***** of a job on these cars.I had to take my bloody doors off to run those extra cables through the factory connectors between the door and the car body. They do unplug, but you need to drills holes through the unused slots to run the cables to give it the factory look.

No AX never came with keyless but if you can identify what brand the remote is you may have a chance.
