Door locks

Has anyone had any trouble with the door locks on the LX Focus, While driving the car the doors lock and unlock. You can lock the car in a parking lot and when you return the car is unlocked. Ford can't find anything wrong with the locks (car).

there may be a short in the system/reciver or what ever its called. same thing happened on my dads AU when it rained. the door locks would go wild. we found out that some water had leaked onto the remote reciever and was shorting it out.

yes it sounds like a fault in the controller. Not sure if its integrated into the ecu or if its a separate module... Could even be a problem with one of the interior door handles which if you sit inside the car and then lock it soon as you pull on a latch all doors open. Could be so many things..

You should probably invest in a crusifix and hang garlic from each door

Could be 4 thing from most likely to least -
Controller stuffed
Door actulators not working properly (this was the problem in the EF I had that unlocked on its own accord)
Dodgy wiring shorting on the body
The RF pattern to unlock from your key fob matches another RF signal in your area (ie garage door remote)

Does the car have an aftermarket alarm

The car has no aftermarket alarm, the dealer has replaced the lock controller and the door wiring. Ford Aus sent someone to look at the car and couldn't find the cause of the problem.

try sitting in the car with it locked and tap all the inside door handles with the handle of a screwdriver. This may induce a problem there. then do the same but outside the car.

then release handbrake and let it roll into a lake.. kidding.
