Default Earth tremor Melb S/E suburbs.

Did anyone else feel or hear the earth tremor last night @10.30, I sure as hell did, scared the bejeebus outta me, initially it was @4 on the "richter scale" but later downgraded to a @2 followed by another @11.00. I went outside thinking it was thunder, but was met by a clear, starry sky. It shook my house, rattled my windows & woke my son. What an experience, its been @8 years since we've had ont like that. Link here!

Put me down!

I live in St Kilda and certainly did feel and hear something 'out of the ordinary' around 10:30pm. It seemed a little far fetched to be the noisy neighbours :-)

I think they mentioned it on Triple M this morning.... weird eh? I remember we had some pretty big earth tremors when I was younger, who would think Werribee of all places would suffer earth tremors....

Speaking to a few people today, it's @50/50, some did, some didn't hear/feel it, but at @4.0 on the richter scale (revised, depending on source) it was the biggest since 1961 in Melb-Metro area. It's a great shame more people didn't experience it, this tremor was truly awesome!!! :

I am near Berwick and I certainly felt it, woke the dog up all standing around thinking what was that, first time I have ever experienced anything like it. you could actually hear it coming low rumble then the house shook a little than that was it - still pretty impressive. That was at 10.36.
