Default Healthy heart for all

After being sick a year ago with ticker problems I have tried everything to peak again and I am getting there.

The advice I am giving is just my opinion as a bloke having lived through an attack and near death experience.

Firstly...drink a 1/4 cup red wine every night. The alcohol and red grape content protect the heart but not more than this.

Move!! Go for a walk..it could save your life.I believe the main reason for heart attack and blockages is the loss of elasticity of the arteries.Stress , bad food ,lack of movement tenses your arteries and they lose elasticity. The result is higher blood pressure too. Then they build up cholesterol, calcium and then when you clot ..your gone!!!

Eat more fruits, black tea and greens. These all contain antioxidants and fight the chemicals that attack the artery walls. Coffee...today I am giving up coffee I have realised that it must contribute to arterial hardening..

Hopefully this is a help to some of you and if you get chest pain at all or find any dificulty breathing just go to hospital quick..

With advice like that, perhaps you should change your user name from "Useless" to "helpful" LOL!

Couldn't you just have a glass of wine every 4 days, rather than 1/4 every day?

What about if I have a whole bottle today, then no wine for a week, will that work too?

P.S, very good advice useless.

But it'll never happen to me....
On a serious note, I rarely get my heart beating any more than standard, pretty average diet (I eat veges as the g/f cooks them for me but snack 5 times a day on plenty of junk) now having massive mugs of coffee, stressful job etc (so says I) At least I'm FAR from over weight.
Perhaps I should buy some red wine...

Stav, I remember this time last year vividly. It was certainly something that had me shocked.
It is great to see you still have such a full life, and have recovered.

Cheers for the info, and I hope to see you soon!

Thanks Ben.It is a bit surreal to me when I talk about it. I still dont believe it happened . I drag raced the wagon 4 months later.I feel blessed, lucky and appreciate every thing I do. One other piece of advice to all is to have selective deafness.Since I hear alot of bs in my day ,there are many times when the bs metre goes on and the ear turns off.If you do this you will gain years of life extra. :
