Picture this......2.30 on a Friday afternoon, my son, Toby is here for the weekend in his "new" XWGT and he has gearbox problems. We went to one mechanic and he said it was possibly the linkages or a roll pin but he didn't have time to look at it. I suggested to Toby that we go to Ford and he was a bit doubtful that anyone there could help, but I had great faith. Brendan and Bruce wacked it up on the hoist and Bruce found loose linkages and bolts and tightened them up and now the gears are beautiful and smooth and Toby is very happy. Many thanks to you both and to make matters better, there was no charge! P.S. Unfortunately, Toby got booked for speeding on the way back to Sydney - he thought he had worked out the conversion from m.p.h. to k.p.h. but was booked for doing 126 m.p.h. Buggar! cheers, Trisha

You mean 126 kph as 126 mph would just be silly in the extreme in any vehicle these days let alone a XW
