If size is not an issue, then there aren't many negatives. I've had the pleasure of having one sit in my driveway for a while, they are a GREAT drive. Packs some serious punch, lots of fun.

OK
I have driven a couple of RS Focii now, in standard and very modded. If i were to buy one id be very happy if it were to remain standard (But its not in me to do that) They are pricey but are starting to fall in price with some pretty good buys out there now. Only thing stopping me is well i not long bought a new XR5. Driving an RS is really something special though, a lot of people say because its FWD its rubbish with that much powa, go drive one you will be very surprised. The modded one i drove had about 250kw atw and it drove fine even when pushed. The revo knuckle works well keeping the front in check. Yeah it will torque steer a little, hell my XR5 does but its simply a change of driving style to accommodate . Problem is a lot of people give it curry but have never driven one, do your self a favour and go drive one. Also if you want sign up to www.xr5ownersclub.com , there is plenty of RS owners on there with both modded and standard RS Focii. There is a few around your area and im sure an owner would be more then happy to show you around one.

If you want somemthing different that will turn heads, sounds great (the 5 cyl motor has a great deep burble with a crackle when they warm up) & will have better performance than your average V8.
The seats are very race seat like & you will have to climb into them, which some people dont like, especially if its an everyday driver. I like them but I have only drive one once & it was a pretty neat novelty like the start button that make it feel like a race car. Remeber though that they also dont have a spare tyre, so if you like a spare you will have to buy a spare 19 inch rim or try your luck with the goop. If your after something a little more practical try an XR5. With a few mods they can go as fast as an RS & even look simmilar. But I dont think it will have the same road presence as an RS. Like DJM said jump on the owners club, this forum is also pretty good http://www.fordxr5turbo.com/forum/ |

i brought one without driving it..more fun than sex and it does it when and how you want....negatives mmm thats hard maybe the attention it gets but other than that i am in love with it and i am not a ford person. remember it is virtually a race car so it is not really comfortable it rides hard.
