Seriously, thats a killer time, my only niggle is that it doesn't launch anywhere near as hard as it could/should with sticky tyres on it... seems to take its sweet time to spool up and start kickin *** once moving.
Will we see it into the low 10's with a good setup???
there are too many records being broken lately, its hard to remember who has the quickest Boss these days!!

That's what i was thinking too, very lazy of the line and doesn't seem to get off the line when the green light flashes.Don't like the chances in a heads up race..Nice looking car though.

if he started stalling the second the other guy 2nd staged it should be boosted by the green light (unlike the vl turbos), once the driver figures it all out should be a weapon.

At least the belt driven stuff gets off the line when it's time too : Heads up racing is real drag racing not this spool rubbish. :

Matey, give me a decent stall-converter and I'll blow your belt-driven pumpie of the planet with an equivalent hair-dryer setup.

The only thing a blower has as an advantage over a turbo is the looks ;) Don't fool yourself in believing otherwise.

If you have a decent stallconverter in a turbo car, and of course a decent enough drag-suspension to allow you to launch, there is no reason why a turbo will not get you off the line as quick.

Robbing way less power from the engine than a belt-driven supercharger.

Meaning it is more efficient.

Look at USA drags? Why are there not so much turbo cars in the top? Because they slam them with a 200kg ballast weight.

Go figure.

Thats huge MPH...hadnt heard of Marv's car for a while, and it's showed it's got plenty of herbs

The ET looks so much better considering how much wheelspin it gets and how tender it leaves the line, needs a good set of rubber to get more power down

The car was leaving the line @27-2800rpm. Thats the limit of the current stall. This was resulting with a 1.81 60'. The main problem the car had was traction at 38-3900rpm it would fry the tyres in 1st and 2nd. On the 11.05 run we had to shift at 3700rpm. Hopefully with slicks we can use the entire rev range in 1st and 2nd. The car's making 465rwkw's on the HPF dyno.

Thats the beauty of turbo cars, it wll drive like a normal car, mellow idle etc until you put your boot into it. Even with a say 3500rpm stall it would still drive fine.

The only thing that l can see if he leaves the line with a launch and gets grip it will be goin home on a tow truck (broken CV's) l think a little slippage in the tyre will see less strain on that the biggest weak link for the sedans.

And Guys well done on the time and mph,it's been awhile since this car has been out at the track..

Stall will allow spool, the issue is you need the load, not free spinning..

Back on topic guys, spool or no spool, I know how hard it is to get a Boss down the track this quick, and the HPF lads have a huge amount of respect on this one, especially from me.

Weight reduction or not, its a killer time, and it will go heaps quicker.

Some "anti lag" type tuning will help no end getting it off the line harder..
An intermittent low rev limiter while injectors keep pulsing does wanders for spool....
