Any body know how low i can legally go in sa since have to replace sls.New springs and shocks i have been told ? Want legal where do the boys in blue measure from so i can check before ordering as if not worth it may as well keep standard level. :

lowest that you can go is 100mm, that is measured from the lowest point of your car, depending on the car, it could be the chassis rails, exhaust or even sump...

If it was including sump why would one lower their car or even how body to ground is what we strive for plus handling not to mention stance

In victoria the legal limit is nothing under car can hang lower than 100mm from the road..... or basically cruise over a Ciggy packet which is 90mm without touching it.

Lowering your car can both improve handling, braking and looks of your car, but if not done properley it can still look good BUT also dramatically decrease your handling, steering, braking capabilities, not to mention wearing out your tyres.

If you go on your RTA website you should be able to print off the regulations, or indeed a quick call to ur local RTA office and im sure they can mail it out to you.
