Hi Guys,
The thought of manualising my 8 has started to eat away at me. It's a BF xr8 with the 6spd semi auto. Either via reply, or pm if preferred, would you be able to advise me of cost, hardware and install of: - All components required, - Whether a manual ECU would be needed (and if you are able to source that) - Custom tune - whether it is possible. I figure if it's worth getting done, it'd be worth getting done by you. Thanks in advance.

Using new parts could quite easily run $10,000+. If you found a good seccond hand box and parts for the conversion from a wreckers i dont think you would get out of it for under $5,000.

The easiest and cheapest way of doing this in my experience is either buying a wreck or finding someone who has a simillar car but wants to go from manual to auto. The cheapest you will see here is around 5K, new components can be exy..... Usually, if you want to change this the best way is to buy the car you want. On thye topic of manual conversion kits from wreckers and whatnot, you need to be on the ball, as they dont hang around quick. Feel free to call me if you need further info mate. Chris
