Default Underbonnet Bling!!!

Hi all.

After a receiving a few messages over the last couple of days about engine bay bling, I decided to post up a thread to see what else you think I could add to the engine bay, to help spruce it up a bit more.

Here's how it looked when I picked it up;

And here is how my engine bay currently looks, I'm open to any suggestions on making it a bit more blingy

Currently all I've got, is a Catchcan to be fitted, but have no idea where to place it.

Also, will a PWR polished expansion tank fit in place of the AU one?

Cheers

James

Pole position auto accessories. They are a sponser of the site. You can get the hoses in red or blue I think

Heatsoak won't be too much of an issue with the stainless piping really. The air will be flowing too quickly through there for it to matter anyway.

More good ideas ^^^.

Where do you get chrome / stainless caps from? And where do I get a stainless intake pipe. I've asked an exhaust joint about it before, and he wasn't quite sure how to go about doing it.

The chrome oilcaps are just a cover that goes over your existing one, but don't quote me on that one. TICK4D-TAS has one on his car.

In regards to the intake pipe, I am in the process of getting one made up by an automotive fabrication place here in Brisbane, but I don't see why an exhaust shop couldn't do it. It would just be a matter of working out the angle of the bend needed in the pipe and the correct length. The piping I am getting is 3 inch from memory.

Also, does anyone know if the PWR stainless expansion tanks for the BA-BF, will replace an AU one?

^^^ what he said, i have the Ford racing rocker covers and oil cap and it looks sweet, can be a pain to keep clean though!

Also, in regards to the catch can, mine is mounted in front of the washer bottle, but i am looking at getting a smaller one out of another car, meaning there will be some more room to add a catch can..

Ollllld Piccy to give you an idea where it was mounted..

Airbox - Custom painted one
Intake pipe - blingy one
Rocker covers - Aftermarket or just paint up the stock ones
Header tank - PWR one for an AU
Oil catch can - of the bling variety

Just a few suggestions.

I have the PWR header tank. its made for the AU. relatively easy to fit. When you order the rocker covers make sure you get ones to suit the 5L EFI truck motor. the us 5L mustang ones wont fit on our engine. (to do with the manifold)
Here is a pic with the covers and PWR header tank.

Well I'm going to install the catchcan thats been sitting on the shelf for six months finally. I still have no bloody idea where to place it yet though. I don't think I'll have much room, cause it's a little bigger than I thought. I'll post up some pics when I work it out.
