Default Car rego scrapped proposal for user pay system..

Umm no thanks, what next..? I dont think it would be hard to find a fair way to tax AEV's & EV's within the current tax structure but according to this mob Infrastructure Australia there's not, yeah bollocks lol -

"The government agency says the current system for funding roads is unsustainable because drivers are transitioning to electric cars, which will not pay fuel excise, but the cost of our roads will stay the same or increase."

"Overseas, new EV sales currently make up from 5 per cent in California and more than 25 per cent in Norway. (And growing in both cases). In Australia, it’s less than 0.1 per cent (and falling)."
