Does anyone have any experience with Famous Car Insurance?
I've been offered full comprehensive cover and a considerably higher agreed value for a premium which is over 30% better than my present (reputable) insurer's renewal offer. I'm aware that if something looks too good to be true it probably is. Having said that, I understand this is a relatively new insurance company which may be offering heavily discounted premiums to get a foothold in the classic, collectible and performance car insurance market. The most important thing to me is what I describe as genuine choice of repairer. Most offer what they call choice of repairer yet when one reads the fine print there's various caveats. I'd particularly like to know if anyone has made a claim with Famous, what the process was, and how agreeable or otherwise they were.
