Default Is it taboo to make a thread about someone's Auto-heartbreak?

Gday Pub patrons,

I'm wondering if it's taboo in soceity and as well on these forums to create a thread about soeone's accident where they wrote off their pride and joy. It's not to gloat over their huge loss, but more to just appreciate the scale of tragedy and pay tribute to the car (and it's builder/owner). I don't want to give any more details, until I know where the community stands on this one.

The owner seemed okay with people taking photos this weekend just gone. How would YOU feel - is it okay, like a memorial to a lost love of the flesh and blood variety is widely accepted, or is it crude and tactless?

Kam
