Melbzetec off to race in China!

Did an online competition last year for a Mobil 1 promotion called "Will you be the one".

It involved online driving tests, plus answering a host of questions regarding synthetic oils, and then answering various other technical questions in following months. Basically did it to look at how they structuring the promotion (for work)

Anyway, long story short, got an email from exxonmobil this week, to say I'd won the bloody thing!

The prize? They fly me to China in July for a 3 day motoring racing training course!!! !

From what I understand so far, it will be at the Zhuhai International Circuit, the first FIA approved F1 circuit they built in China (1996). Run by FRD Racing. 24 winners from around Asia will be flown in.

It will involve instruction in touring cars for the first day or so (Which I
understand are the CCC race prepared Ford Focus with a reworked 270hp focus engine)



and then into a Formula Campus open wheeler car. Apparently these are open wheelers that conform to the 2008 FIA Formula 3 standards



It's a 1600 Ford engine, only weigh 480kg and capable of 220kmh

I am happy as a pig in the proverbial at the moment!!! And all I have to pay for is the visa.

The only challenge now is to keep the weight under 95kg so they'll let me drive the open wheelers!!!!!
