Now, I know some of you will think I have gone soft in the head, and that might well be the case.... But..... The Royal London Philharmonic Orchestra is in Melbourne this weekend and I reckon it might provide a spectacle well worthy of seeing/hearing.
I am not all that into much classical music apart from the usual populist stuff that you hear regularly, Pachelbel Canon in D Major the one I know best and like the best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZHw9uyj81g Has anyone seen something like this as well, not a real classical music buff, and come away impressed or depressed? My music collection includes everything ever done by AC/DC before they went soft in the late eighties and lots of various old stuff that I love. So it is pretty out of left field for me, but I reckon it might be good?
