Default So frustrating!!!

Hi everyone. Ok, my Monty has had a squeak for the past few months that occurs when driving at slow speeds, say, 0 - 20kms. Now I'm no mechanic so I was puzzled by this noise. I originally didn't think it was brakes because the squeak occurred when my foot WASN'T applying the brakes. I have since learnt how brakes work and that it could possibly be calipers that don't release 100% after braking therefore causing the sound.

So I take it to a nationwide large brake service specialist and they were good about it. They had a look immediately, took the wheels off and inspected. Anyway after that they tell me that everything seems fine. They even told me to spray CRC on the transmission seal 'cos it could be that! At that point I said thanks for their help and went home.

Now I don't like taking my cars to get fixed by family or friends cos if something goes wrong it causes friction, but I decided to take it to my uncle's workshop. He took the car for a drive and said that it is definitely brakes. I told him that the BIG company said it wasn't. He asked me if they unscrewed and had a look at the rear calipers. They didn't. Anyway, he fixed the problem and the squeak is gone.

My frustration is this: Why didn't the other company know that it could've been the calipers instead of giving me answers like the "transmission seal." Don't they want my business?

Anyway, end of rant. BTW Has anyone else experienced times like this?
