I'm rebuilding my motor in preparation for supercharging and I imported custom forged Manley pistons at 9.0:1 (-6.5cc dish) and forged Manley conrods as well as the MMR oil pump and MMR billet trigger (tone) wheel. I think 9.0:1 is the way to go.
