Heya guys. My first post here.
I've acquired an old Ford Telstar '85 for nothing from my partners dad. It needs a LOT of work. I have a website for it at http://www.mantrasoftware.net/telstar. What I want to know is how to go about getting a power steering kit for it and how much it would cost. I'd prefer to get as much stuff brand new as possible but comparison prices would be nice. Just so you know, I live in Brisbane so something around here would be great. Thanks for your help everyone!! P.S. Great forum. I love it. |

Welcome aboard! Your best bet would be sourcing a damaged Ghia from the auctions and transfer all the good bits across. I don't think there would be any conversion kits available unless from a wrecker (who would probably charge as much as the complete damaged Ghia!).

OK. Kool. Thanks for the info.
The other car I was looking at was a Mazda 323 'cause it's pretty much the same. |

The 626 is much the same as the Telstar, the 323 is very different - it was traditionally the basis for the Laser. Interchangability of parts in both cases is high.

Yeah getting one off of a ghia would be your best bet, if you look hard enough you will be able to find one for free!
