So I was coming back from the airport this morning at about 7.30am and police were making everyone on the entry ramp wait until this motorcade (consisting of about 8 or so vehicles) had gone past. Vehicles weren't anything special - no limos, just a few Genesis SUVs, a Hiace bus or two, etc. Police were following and making sure everyone behind on the freeway kept their distance and couldn't pass by. I followed it to the Langham Hotel in Southbank. Must have been someone very important, any idea who?

Basically no ****ing around in Melbourne the next few days, there'll be heightened monitoring over protests and that sort of thing, as well as police not needing warrants to seize property, search cars, et al inside the inner suburbs. Was older Vietnamese people in the city yesterday protesting with South Vietnam flags - thats a bit of a blast from the past Last edited by Franco Cozzo; 03-03-2024 at 02:20 PM. |

Throws my theory out too, I was thinking it might be Kate needing a break from Will, the kids and the father in law.
