We are all car lovers and can appreciate nice machinery. What have others said in appreciation for your car?
Name the car and comment\gesture of appreciation I used to own a citric acid xr6t (hulk) with 20 inch prowler wheels. Whilst it had 320rwkw i used to drive it like an old man. A copper rolled up alongside once wound his window down and said thats a awesome machine mate, two thumbs up and sped off, i let a mate borrow it and his comment on return was its ridiculous. I currently have ba xr8, at servo a guy came up and asked me where i got the wheels and he was so star eyed about them, they are f6e rims (dark argents in shadow chrome). Another guy said it sounds all lumpy. I let someone drive it and they said they would lose their license in a week in it, so addictive to tramp it. What are your comments of appreciation? (about your car) |

Heaps of people i know love commodores and hate falcons, nothing new there.
But when i got my EF XR8 they're all "It a nice car i love it... For a Ford" Probs just saying it to suck up my butt as they all have 3.8V6 commonwhores with an auto. |

Very little... a couple of people have told me it's comfortable, it's quiet, a couple have said it's got a smooth ride, but that's about it. It's not like anyone is gonna fawn over a stock 6 cylinder automatic.

I took a few friends for a drive in my BA GT, and a couple of them converted to ford after that even tho they are so called hardcore holden fans. But everyone usually says its a nice car. Had a few girls come up to me wanting to go for a drive.

Coincidently I just got home 10 mins ago from being away the weekend...Pulled outside the local Coles to pick up a few things...Bloke in a white AU2 XR8 drives past me the other way, does a U turn , parks behind me gets out and starts chatting to me about my car, ...here we go i thought....Then he said things like
Hi, my name's Dave, "I've seen you car around here a few times mate...There's also one like yours floating around the area but yours is much nicer...I'm looking for one of these and yours is probably the nicest BA GT I've seen. If you ever want to sell it, here's my number" After telling him, thanks but it's not for sale, he understood It's been awhile since I've had any comments but they're always appreciated

"Why did you buy a Ford? They're **** cars"
That comment was from a person that doesn't have a license or a car, and is 5 minutes older than I am... Otherwise, most people look at it and say it's nice, clean and a smooth ride. That is really all I wanted on my budget. I woud love to step up to a V8 someday though as a daily. Expensive, yes, but at the same time, I enjoy driving and considering people spend 15 bucks a day on cigarettes or considerable amounts of gambling or booze, a nice car is just my little incentive...

My daily is a bionic blue bf xr8 ute. Plenty of people have told me the colour is 'cool', 'awesome' and a 'stand out colour'. My masculinity never came into question until one fateful day. Been a single bloke I thought I would talk to this chic. No harm in that. Or so I thought. Topic approaches my ute as we wait for other people. She asked me if it was my ute. She then proceed to comment on the colour by saying that it was a 'very pretty blue'

a guy in my area built an EXACT COPY of my NC - wheels, painted side moulds and garnish, ltd grille, ride height, dual exhaust dumped at the diff , he even painted some headlight covers to mimic the bmw/xr style look - then came up to me one day and said see my fairlane, i liked yours so copied it....
immitation is the best form of flattery but no prizes for secconds lol ive changed mine around a fair bit since though lol |

not car related but a comment on my R6 when i was looking at it to buy it!
called my mate who rides down on a new Hyabusa, gets off his bike walks over to mine (which the then owner is standing next to) takes a quick look, shrugs his shoulders and says "meh its not a 1300" and casualy walks away! pulled up at a set of lights in my old 4wd nice and high and full off mud, a new convertable very expensive BMW pulls up next to me and has a look at my old bus and comments to his missis how **** it looks then turns his sterio on and up load,,,,,, i nicley gesture him to turn it down so i can ask him a question and when he does i ask him "cant you afford the whole car" his missis breaks out laughing and he takes off like hell through a red light camera! |

I have had a few nice comments on my car. Cause it's my first car, it got a fair bit of attention from people at school, cause it was better than the sea of silver Excels and Lancers. Whenever someone (youngish) gets in they always comment on how nice it is. I don't really like attention that much so I just say thanks and carry on talking.
I do remember one thing but which I found pretty funny. At work people know I like Fords, and people ask me what of think of so and so car. Anyway... I don't drive to work that much, I usually ride my bike, and this young kid who was newish was talking and said, 'Daveeee, you woulda loved this car out the front, some Ford, look heeeeaps good mannn', I said sounds alright what type mate?'(Just humoring him I didn't really care tbh) ' I don't know but looks sick was white and had massive dark wheels and huge exhaust blah blah blah', I said mate I think that's mine, he couldn't beleive it haha. I'm glad young bogan kids think my cars madzz.
