Here is something for the club 2 think bout doing as an event. See wht u all think. The Classic Ford Cruises are back!
These cruises used to be run semi-regularly and were organised through the Classic Ford Forum. The offer was always extended (and still is) to other small Ford clubs and forums, including Small Ford Car Club, RS Owners Club, Hunter British Ford Club, Capri Car Club, fordxr5turbo.com & fordxr4.com. These cruises were always very popular and the last cruise we ran even scored a 3 page spread in Street Fords magazine! Anyway, the cruises have been sadly missed for a few years but we are now "getting the band back together". To start off... a cruise to the central coast is planned with departure locations from Sydney and Newcastle. Date: Sunday, 6 March 2011 Sydney Departure: Meet - Thornleigh McDonalds, Central Ave, Thornleigh Time - 10:00am (10:30am SHARP departure) Route - via Old Pacific Hwy Newcastle Departure: Meet - Sawnsea McDonalds, Wood St, Swansea Time - 10:00am (10:30am SHARP departure) Route - via Doyalson & Budgewoi Destination: Picnic Point Reserve, The Entrance (this may change to nearby Terilbah Reserve depending on numbers) Arrival time to The Entrance is expected to be about 12:00pm, after which time we can grab some fish n chips for lunch or BYO lunch. There will be plenty of time for a lazy lunch in the park, chat with friends, meet new people and check out some cool cars. Feel free to bring your partners, kids, cameras, frisbees, fishing rods etc. |
