Default What's your Favourite Ford TV Commercial of all time?

As the title suggests, what's your favourite Ford TV Commercial of all time?

For any reason - be it funny or classy or just plain simple.

Mine's the BF Mk II Fairmont Ghia - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XNkbkxi

Awesome haunting music, stunning visuals... definitely my fave.

It was such a great ad for such a good car. I think it did great things for ford.

I also like the incarnations of the ford ute adds.

This one is good

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kd2m...om=PL&index=19

A few mistakes in it. I assumed that the add featured ford utes only. But in the scenes where they show the 2 blokes inside the XR8, if you look through the windows, you see other types of cars other than utes.

I'm sure there is, but I went through 6 pages of youtube clips and just gave up.

Also, the Ford commercial where the kids is playing with the slot cars and the Falcon is that only one to stay on the track.

From left field, but, if re-edited today, with current cars, might help Ford Australia immensely.

I would have to agree with you. It was the most successful image campaign ever undertaken by Ford.

The 'Live It' campaign by a company called Kaleidoscope if I can correctly recall was probably the worst.

Does anyone here remember when the F series had a Landcruiser on its back and climed the hill and the commentator asks "now I would like to see the roles reversed". I think it was about 1981, it was brillant.

talking about re-editing car commercials andrew

check this one out, from our beloved EFs....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mADTF...eature=related

now if you redid that ad with a G6ET as the basis, modernise and update the script a bit, you'd be onto a winner. Oh and damn if that Fairlane didnt look half bad i reckon (mmm, makes me wonder for my next car.....)

Not a FoMoCo ad but it has a Ford (EB ED ?) and one of the best V8 drivers of the last generation and the late Barry Sheene as well!

Best Ford ad ever was from the mid 70s. It had a F150 going up a serious incline with a Tojo ute strapped to its tray doing it no trouble. Does anyone remember this one?

Cheers

agreed. i think Ford advertising have disengaged from patriotic themes. why? i have no idea. that ad you have posted covers australian driving conditions (city and bush) in a nutshell and it did it really well.

it's almost as if the competition have gone for that theme and run with it to top sales while Ford are still wondering what happened, despite having a better product, years later.

I reckon it's about time for that one again. It's been a regular theme over the last few decades! (In the U.S. at least)
